The Township of Wellington North wishes to advise you of the Construction of a Pedestrian Crossover on Queen St E (Hwy-89) at the intersection with Fergus St N/Parkside Dr, Mount Forest (refer to key plan, below). Construction activities are anticipated to begin late June 2025 and continue intermittently through to the end of August 2025. The Contractor for the project is Moorefield Excavating Ltd, of Harriston, Ontario.
Queen St E (Hwy-89), within the identified limits, may be reduced to one lane of twoway traffic during working periods (typically 7 am through 5pm, Monday through Friday) at various times throughout the construction period. The roadway will be opened to two lanes of two-way traffic during non-working periods throughout the construction. Local and emergency access will be maintained throughout construction.
