With support of the Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program, the Township of Wellington North is proud to provide TechTours: Connecting Seniors Through Technology and Bus Adventures. This initiative will run from June 19, 2024, through March 31, 2025. An overview of the TechTours Program:
- Transportation Solutions: The project aims to break down transportation barriers by offering bus tours, allowing seniors to explore activities, events and attractions within Wellington County. This promotes social engagement and connectivity for seniors in the northern Wellington community.
- Digital Literacy: Alongside these enriching excursions, we will assist seniors in navigating social media platforms, email, and educate them on identifying scams. This effort will foster relationships and enhance their digital literacy.
The Township will lead this program, with in-kind support from the Seniors Centre for Excellence, the Town of Minto, and the Township of Mapleton. We look forward to the positive impact this project will have on our senior community and appreciate your ongoing support.
