The Wellington North Cultural Roundtable values the important role that not-for-profit organizations and community groups play in delivering events and projects in our community. The Events Funding and Sponsorship initiative provides funding aimed at enabling these groups and organizations to incorporate culturally significant elements to their existing events, programs, and projects. Funding is made available through the Wellington North’s Cultural Roundtable Programming Funding to eligible organizations through a competitive process. The total amount available is set each year during the budget process but generally is limited to $2,000 for events, programs, and projects.
The Cultural Roundtable will accept applications on a first come, first service basis, host a discussion at its monthly meeting and make a recommendation to support the funding based on the application meeting the program's objectives.
Not-for-profit community organizations may apply for funding to deliver events and projects in the Township of Wellington North. In order to be eligible for funding:
- Events and projects must be covered by liability insurance.
- Organizations seeking retrospective funding for events or projects that have already started or have been completed will not receive funding.
- Events and projects must be not-for-profit.
- Recognition as a sponsor for the project by including the Cultural Roundtable logo on all associated marketing materials.
