Media Release: Wellington North Council recognizes local athletes at November 18 Council Meeting

Mount Forest Rams U15 Rep, Mount Forest U12 Soccer, and Khloe Hall recognized by Council for their achievements on November 18

WELLINGTON NORTH – Wellington North Council hosted its third Recognition of Outstanding Achievements in Sports Night on Monday, November 18 at the Council Chambers in Kenilworth.

The Mount Forest Rams U15 Rep team, Mount Forest U12 Soccer Club, and Khloe Hall were recognized by Council for their accomplishments during their respective sports season.

Mount Forest Rams U15 Rep

The Mount Forest Rams U15 Rep team finished the 2023-24 season with a 24-9-2 record, qualifying for the WOAA Lockridge Championship playoffs. The Rams continued their stellar play, finishing the round robin portion of the playoff with a 7-0 record. In those seven games, the Rams outscored their opponents 53-9. In the Lockridge Championship Finals, the Rams defeated the AEMHA Ice Dogs in two straight games to win the championship.

The Rams qualified for the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) Tier 3 Championships, held in Halton Hills in April, where the Rams finished third.

Members of the team include Liam Aitken, Tristan Anderson, Madden Brummel, Ryerson Corley, Nolan Duffield, Brody Gagnon, Desmond Kelly, Pryce Leask, Connor Lewis, Declan Lisk, Callum McDonald, Jack Needham, Aiden Parker, and AJ Wollis.

Mount Forest U12 Soccer

The Mount Forest U12 Soccer Club had the season of a lifetime – an undefeated regular season and year-end tournament. 

The biggest accomplishment, according to the parents of the players, was that the team defined what it means to be a good teammate: constantly supporting each other and including everyone. 

Team members include Colby Alles, Benjamin Baxter, Henry Bolton, Aubrey Capell, Gideon Dirksen, Jeremiah Duquette, Oliver Fares, Landyn Heyden, Easton Miles, Joshua Metzger, Kayden Rae, Owen Rae, Gabriel Roast, Andrew Spicer, Pierce Teeter, Brody Thompson, and Owen Wagner.

Khloe Hall

Arthur’s Khloe Hall tried out for, and successfully made, the Team Ontario U13 Girls Box Lacrosse team that completed in the 2024 U13 National Box Lacrosse Championship in Regina, Saskatchewan in August. This was the second consecutive year that Khloe was a member of Team Ontario.

Khloe played in all eight games for Team Ontario, including the Championship game against Team British Columbia. Khloe and her teammates won the Silver Medal, losing to Team British Columbia 5-2 in the final.

Khloe plays her club lacrosse with the Centre Wellington Riverhawks.
